Project Outline

Launched in 2021, the future Jim Welch Event Center honors one of Shekinah Ranch Camp's longest-standing board members. This marks the largest project and Capital Campaign in Shekinah’s history.

The project will feature a new 17-stable barn, tack room, additional storage,

and the Jim Welch Event Center itself, which will include a commercial kitchen, worship stage,

and a professional basketball court/event space.

The total estimated cost of the project is $950,000.

Thanks to the generosity of our faithful donors, Shekinah Ranch has already raised over $200,000,

and we're thrilled to announce that Shekinah will be awarded $300,000 from the LSA Grant,

set to be received in September/October 2025.

Project Mission & Vision

Shekinah Ranch Camp has been a vital spiritual support system for the youth and families of Washington County for over 22 years, drawing campers and staff from across the U.S. and internationally. The camp’s mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone who visits through a variety of adventure, equine, and discipleship-based activities. With plans to build the Jim Welch Event Center, Shekinah Ranch aims to extend its impact year-round, becoming a central location for community events, retreats, youth programs, and emergency relief. The center will meet the need for indoor spaces in a low-to-middle-income area, supporting local athletics and community engagement while creating job opportunities, offering mentorship, and fostering spiritual growth. Named in honor of Dr. Jim Welch, the center will strengthen Shekinah Ranch’s ability to serve its community, generate additional income, and fulfill its mission of helping local families experience the saving love and power of Jesus Christ.
